The Swedish Championship was successfully completed during the weekend with 41 entries from Sweden, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands. Finding ice this late in the season is tricky and we ended up at a lake we hadn't used for regattas before, lake Yngaren just outside of Nyköping.
Saturday // Day 1
The spring sun made the ice surface soft and unfortunately the wind wasn't strong enough for us to go racing until the late afternoon when we got the first race in. A very tricky race with most sailors having to get out of the cockpit to restart multiple times.
Sunday // Day 2
Sunday morning was as calm and sunny as the day before but luckily the wind picked up and gave us good sailing condition. Two more races were completed ahead of the time limit and the regatta was concluded.
The only woman in the fleet G 390 Anja Fiedler won the regatta ahead of the new Swedish Champion S 81 Tomas Lindgren and G 890 Holger Petzke. S 839 Axel Steffner won the Swedish Junior Championship.
