SAFETY CERTIFICATE

If you want to start racing ice boats in Sweden you need

to have a safety certificate. The test contains 27 questions, which you have to answer correctly.

HOW TO START RACING

If there is a club in your area, we recommend that you first contact them. We also hope to arrange try-on days during the season. Ads for used yachts can be found both in our forum and on e.g. Blocked.se.

 

To race, you need:

 

- Membership in a club (connected to the

  Swedish Ice Sailing Association)

- Membership in DN Sweden

- Racing license

- Valid liability insurance

CODE OF CONDUCT

Racing with DN yachts often takes place at high speeds and with imminent risks of damage to the sailors and their equipment. In retrospect, it can be stated that many accidents, mainly in the form of collisions, could probably have been avoided if good preparation, knowledge and a healthy approach had been observed.
